MIDDLE SCHOOL (5th-8th Grade)
QUALIFYING
Championship Middle School races are open to all (private, public schools, unattached, homeschool, club) 5th thru 8th graders who hit a qualifying mark. We will recognize ANY meet as a qualifier this year (2025) as long as they have a fully-automatic timing (professional service preferred), use Hytek, Meet Pro, or RaceTab software for meet management, and get meet results to flrunners.com in a timely fashion.
Middle School Events
Races: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m,1500m,3000m, 100mHurdles, 200mHurdles
Field: Shot, Discus, Javelin,Pole Vault, High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump. 3 attempts
Relays: 4 x 100, 4 x 400, 4 x 800 New for 2026, Separate relays for Club teams and School teams

NO Prelims, all finals against time/mark. Heats are slow to fast.
USATF 13-14 age group rules, unless otherwise stated. We are sanctioned by the USATF. Certified Officials at each event.
Athletes may enter up to 4 events regardless of if it's a relay, individual race, or field events.
If the athlete doesn't show up, they forfeit that race and that race only.
1500/3000 EVENTS. If using a 1600 or 3200 time for qualifying, when registering please list 1600/3200 time in "seed" box, then in NOTE box, type "1600" or "3200", meet name and date. .
This is a championship event. Athletes and relay teams must qualify to enter by hitting the qualifying standard.
